Full Job Description

Wedding and Events Venue

Blumen Gardens is seeking an experienced, highly organized Event Coordinator to manage and oversee our weddings and events department. This is a senior, client facing role responsible for selling the venue, executing events at a high standard, and managing all event operations from inquiry through event day.

This position is not entry level. Candidates must have prior event or hospitality experience and be comfortable managing a department, leading teams, and overseeing live events independently.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee weddings and events department operations
Execute and support a high volume of weddings, private events, and retail events
Sell the venue through tours, follow up, and client communication
Schedule, conduct, and close venue tours including evenings and weekends
Lead event setup, breakdown, and on site execution to Blumen Gardens standards
Create and manage event day timelines and lead pre event staff meetings
Serve as the primary on site point of contact for clients, vendors, guests, and staff
Coordinate vendor logistics and enforce Blumen Gardens policies and procedures
Manage liquor ordering, inventory, and compliance in accordance with Basset and licensing requirements
Manage and oversee all Blumen Gardens rental inventory including linens, tables, chairs, décor, and event equipment
Ensure organization, cleanliness, tracking, and proper storage of all rental items
Hire, train, schedule, and lead event staff ensuring professionalism and proper procedures
Attend and run wedding ceremony rehearsals
Maintain expert level knowledge of event pricing, policies, and operational standards
Support social media and marketing efforts promoting the venue, events, and rental offerings

Schedule and Expectations

Full time position
Required office days Monday and Tuesday
Additional weekday hours as needed for tours, planning, and operations
Evenings and weekends required based on event schedule
Business casual dress required during office hours and tours
Professional event attire required on event days

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of event, wedding, or hospitality experience required
Basset Certification or willingness to obtain
Proven ability to manage events independently from planning through execution
Strong sales, organization, and leadership skills
Excellent communication and problem solving abilities
Comfortable leading teams and managing vendors
Confident with social media platforms for business use
High level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail

Compensation

Starting at $25 per hour based on experience
Full time role with consistent scheduling
Opportunity to grow with a well established and respected wedding and events venue

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
