GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Provides capacity planning for the Wilmington Site and Plans, directs, and coordinates activities concerned with external manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Performs capacity analyses as required for the Wiilmington Site
· Coordinates planning activities with external manufacturing sites
· Coordinates planning activities with other Siegfried sites
· Responsible for forecasts to CMO and external sites
· Responsible for the S&OP planning function at the product family level for the four to thirty-six-month time horizon for external products
· Responsible for the resource planning for the one to seven-year time horizon.
· Understands the strategic and business planning process and translates outputs into the S&OP planning process.
· Responsible for the development of the production plan and for resource planning for external and CMO manufacturing
· Provides input and support for master production scheduling and rough-cut capacity planning.
· Provides input and support for material requirements planning and capacity requirements planning.
· Understands and is responsible for the control of inventory for materials produced both internally and externally.
· Interfaces with contract manufactures to communicate requirements and resolve issues.
· Builds and plans for scenarios which support business decisions.
· Maintains a global view of the supply chain.
· Complies inventory lists for material destined for disposal and works with DEA Compliance to ensure proper classification of such material.
· Creates, monitors, and controls metrics relating to supply and delivery.
· Expert level knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems including but not limited to SAP and IBP.
· Ensures the input and accuracy of master data in enterprise resource planning systems.
· Establishes effective communication with various groups such as customer service, sales, quality control, quality assurance, DEA compliance, and Warehouse & Logistics, and Production.
· Provides peer to peer training and acts as an expert department resource.
ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
· Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines including Import/Export legislation, FDA, EPA, OSHA and DEA. Complies with all company and site policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all related planning procedures per GMP/ISO standards.
· Understands and responsibly performs duties with attention to quality, safety and environmental matters. Items include; wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, recognizing, reporting and appropriately responding to hazards in the work area (spills/accidents/near misses), maintaining proper housekeeping, properly labeling and storing chemicals, plus all other relevant job requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably focused on engineering, supply chain, operations or a related field. Minimum of six-eight (4-6) years relevant Planning, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Procurement or other similar Operations experience is required. Experience within a GMP regulated environment is preferred. Experience in SAP, other ERP systems, Master Scheduling, Material Requirements Planning, Production Activity and Control, Capacity Planning, and Master Data is preferred. Proven competence in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. APICS training/certification is preferred.
