Position Summary
The Videographer & Video Editor will be responsible for planning, capturing, and editing video content for Light Society and clients. This role requires a creative storyteller with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce polished content from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for social media, website, marketing campaigns, and promotional materials.
- Capture professional footage during events, interviews, behind-the-scenes sessions, and product shoots.
- Edit videos using industry-standard software while maintaining Light Society's visual style and brand identity.
- Create short-form vertical content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms.
- Produce long-form videos for YouTube, website features, testimonials, and campaigns.
- Add music, graphics, motion design, subtitles, transitions, and color correction to enhance storytelling.
- Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop video concepts and campaign ideas.
- Organize, archive, and maintain video assets and project files.
- Operate and maintain cameras, lighting, audio, and production equipment.
- Stay current on social media trends, video techniques, and editing styles to keep content fresh and engaging.
- Ensure projects are completed on time while maintaining high production quality.
Qualifications
- Experience in videography and professional video editing.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing software.
- Experience with Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, or motion graphics is a plus.
- Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, framing, and audio recording.
- Knowledge of color grading, sound design, and storytelling techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Portfolio demonstrating videography and editing experience required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience creating content for social media platforms.
- Drone videography certification (preferred but not required).
- Photography experience is a plus.
- Motion graphics and animation experience.
- Understanding of branding and digital marketing strategies.
