Overview

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist patients with daily activities, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in diverse clinical settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Duties

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Support patient transfer methods utilizing equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling practices at all times.
Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior to nursing staff promptly, especially in critical care or behavioral health settings.
Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring proper medical documentation in compliance with healthcare standards.
Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, specimen collection (phlebotomy), and basic medication administration under supervision.
Support infection control protocols by practicing aseptic techniques and proper hand hygiene across all patient interactions.

Requirements

Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory or dementia care.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks/Cerner) for accurate documentation and patient data management.
Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic anatomy relevant to patient care.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper lifting practices; physical stamina for long shifts involving manual handling tasks.
Strong communication skills for effective caregiver-patient interactions and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as CPR or emergency medicine experience are advantageous.
Prior experience in hospital medicine, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home & community care environments is preferred.
