Full Job Description

The IT Technical Assistants role is to support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals, including, but not limited to installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training and assistance where required.

Primary Tasks:

Assist the IT Manager in maintaining hardware, software and other IT related systems
Support company processes by troubleshooting IT related issues with equipment like computers, printers, handhelds, software, and network related hardware
Help organize and maintain IT resources
Complete daily and weekly IT duties as assigned
Assist in the completion of IT related projects
Receive and resolve incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding IT related issues in a timely manner

Qualifications:

Associates Degree in the field of Computer Science or accredited IT Certifications
3 years experience in IT field
Or a combination of education and experience
Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule
Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written on a technical level
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to read and interpret technical data
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Good time-management skills.
Excellent technical knowledge of network and PC hardware, including Microsoft platform
Working knowledge of email systems, computer hardware, and peripherals
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
