About the Role:
As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of essential building infrastructure across our large-scale hospital campus in Denton, TX. We are seeking a proactive, technically skilled professional with a strong background in commercial HVAC systems and a commitment to operational excellence.
In this position, you will serve as a key contributor for facilities maintenance needs, requiring a balance of technical expertise and the interpersonal skills necessary to provide top-tier service to our hospital clients. What You’ll Do:
Prioritize the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical HVAC infrastructure, including rooftop units and associated controls.
Perform a wide range of general maintenance tasks, including plumbing repairs, drywall work, painting, and lighting ballast replacements.
Execute both routine preventive maintenance schedules and emergency repairs to ensure building machinery and systems meet or exceed their expected service life.
Efficiently manage and complete assigned work orders, ensuring documentation and resolution meet department standards.
Maintain and repair mechanical, structural, furniture, fire/life safety, and control systems to ensure the facility adheres to all relevant building codes and safety regulations.
Actively participate in the site’s energy management program to ensure all building systems operate at peak efficiency.
Strictly adhere to departmental policies regarding the storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
Work within broad guidelines and policies.

Explain difficult or sensitive information. What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification is preferred. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
Demonstrated technical expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting commercial HVAC systems.
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
