Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are a thriving Denver-based construction company operating as both a General Contractor and a Subcontractor on diverse regional projects. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist who understands the dual complexities of our business model. Because we run our entire financial ecosystem on Trimble Spectrum (or equal), we need an AP professional who can navigate the platform confidently from day one. You will protect our project margins, manage subcontractor risk, and handle vendor billing seamlessly.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

▪ Trimble Spectrum ERP: Own full-cycle AP workflows within Spectrum, managing data entry, routing, and payment scheduling.

▪ Dual-Sided AP Processing: Seamlessly manage outward payments to subcontractors (as a GC) and inbound supplier invoicing for our self-perform trade work (as a Sub).

▪ Job Costing & Coding: Code high-volume invoices accurately against phases, cost codes, and specific project contracts.

▪ 3-Way Matching: Reconcile incoming vendor invoices against purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.

▪ Team Collaboration: Work directly with Denver-area Project Managers and Superintendents to clear invoice bottlenecks and resolve billing disputes.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

▪ Software Expertise: Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience using Trimble Spectrum (Dexter + Chaney) or equal for construction accounting.

▪ Industry Experience: Construction accounts payable experience, with a solid grasp of both GC and Subcontractor workflows.

▪ Process Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Colorado lien laws, progress billings (G702/G703 style), and retention mechanics.

▪ Communication: Sharp communication skills to professionally manage billing inquiries from vendors and busy field teams.

Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
