Falgien Warr & Iyer, P.C. (“FWI Legal”), is centrally located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. We are seeking an experienced Colorado Litigation Paralegal to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. This position is designed as a working interview, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time Litigation Paralegal role for the right candidate.

FWI Legal is a fast-paced Colorado personal injury law firm dedicated to providing exceptional representation to injured clients. We pride ourselves on teamwork, attention to detail, and delivering outstanding client service while aggressively advocating for our clients.

The Contract Litigation Paralegal will assist our attorneys throughout all phases of Colorado personal injury litigation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a litigation caseload with minimal supervision.

Contract Details:

Initial 6-month contract
Flexible schedule based on workload
Competitive hourly compensation (DOE)
Partially Remote position
Opportunity to transition into a full-time Litigation Paralegal position after successful completion of the contract period

Job Type:

Full-time, hybrid (Mon/Wed in office; remote on Tues/Thurs/Fri)

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, flexible schedule

Responsibilities:

Manage litigation files from filing through resolution
Draft and file pleadings, motions, disclosures, and discovery
Prepare and organize exhibits and trial notebooks
Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
Draft discovery requests and responses
Maintain litigation deadlines and court calendars
Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, experts, and opposing counsel
Obtain and organize medical records and billing
Review and summarize medical records
Assist with expert disclosures and trial preparation
Prepare settlement documentation when appropriate
Maintain accurate electronic case files
Perform additional litigation support duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required:

Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience
Colorado civil litigation experience
Personal injury litigation experience
Strong understanding of Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure
Excellent writing and proofreading skills
Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred:

Experience with case management software
Trial preparation experience
Experience coordinating experts and medical providers
Familiarity with e-filing in Colorado state and federal courts
