Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated DSW/Caregiver to join our team, providing essential support and care to individuals in various living environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory care. As a vital member of our caregiving team, you will promote independence, dignity, and well-being through personalized assistance and attentive support. This position is paid and ideal for individuals passionate about helping others and committed to delivering high-quality care.

Duties

Assist cleints with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and hygiene.
Assist with administering medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols, ensuring safety at all times.
Provide specialized dementia and Alzheimer’s care, implementing memory care strategies to support residents with cognitive impairments.
Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts in some homes and other mobility aids to promote safe movement and prevent injury.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.
Support residents with social activities, behavioral management, and engagement to enhance quality of life.
Maintain a clean environment by performing light housekeeping tasks within clients' personal spaces and common areas.
Drive clients when necessary for appointments or community outings, ensuring safety during transportation, using caregiver or clients vechile, whichever is available.

Skills

Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments with a focus on senior or home & community care.
Knowledge of ADLs assistance techniques along with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and memory care best practices.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, client's, and families effectively.
Valid driver’s license for safe transportation duties; experience driving preferred. Some homes does not require a drivers license.
Certification in first aid is highly desirable; ongoing training in caregiving skills encouraged; company will pay to certify caregivers if not certified.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or group home/individual settings is a plus. Join us in creating a caring environment where every individual receives personalized attention that fosters independence and happiness!
