Full Job Description

Title: Controller

Reports to: CFO or President

Job Duties:

· Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

· Team Leadership: Supervising the accounting department staff, including hiring, training and performance management.

· Budgeting & Analysis: Overseeing the annual budget, forecasting and reporting.

· Accounting Operations: Managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger transactions and payroll processing.

· Internal Controls & Compliance: Establishing and maintaining systems to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.

· Audit Coordination: Acting as the primary liaison with external auditors to facilitate yearly audits and verify financial records.

· Data Source: Compile data to be used in making machine buying and selling decisions. Utilization and ROI calculations along with input for the rental fleet.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

· Experience: Several years of progressive experience in accounting, including managerial experience.

· Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.

Key Performance Indicators:

· Days to Close: The time it takes to finalize financial statements after period-end.

· Budget vs Actual Variance: The percentage difference between budgeted and actual costs, explaining differences to management.

· Days Sales Outstanding: The average number of days it takes to collect payment after a sale, measuring AR efficiency.

· Accounts Payable Turnover Ratio: Measures how quickly the company pays vendors.

Pay: Up to $125,000.00 per year
