Residential Service Technician

Location: Chicago, IL

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician for our property on Chicago's North Side. The ideal candidate is organized and professional, with a strong background in maintenance and repair. This role requires effective problem-solving skills, exemplary customer service, initiative, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The pay range for this position is $20 to $23/hr. based on experience, plus quarterly bonus potential.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

A minimum of three years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced residential community is required.
Experience in painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems is required.
Provide excellent customer service to our residents and guests.
Complete unit turns and work orders in a timely manner and up to service expectations.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve complex issues.
Demonstrate a proactive approach, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Walk the property daily to ensure cleanliness and address maintenance issues.
Perform janitorial duties as assigned and maintain common areas.
Flexibility to work overtime and assist at our other residential communities when needed.
Availability to respond to after-hours emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays, is required.
Must be able to work Saturdays.
Any other tasks as directed by the Property Manager and Service Manager.
