Full Job Description

Job Summary:

Follow planned routes and make customer deliveries in an efficient and timely manner. Covering the state of Michigan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspect load and truck before departure for safety.
Adjust the route on the fly to accommodate for road conditions and/or closures.
Approach customer with a friendly attitude.
Use care in the handling of customer materials, products, and equipment.
Communicate with customers, salesmen, and warehouse personnel to provide optimum support and work flow.
Regular and reliable attendance.

Knowledge & Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous driving experience preferred.

Certifications and Licenses:

Possess or be willing and able to attain Chauffeurs License
Possess or be willing and able to attain medical DOT approval.
Potentinal pay towards earning CDL class A.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Frequently required to talk and hear; walk and stand; push, pull, and carry.
Regularly required to climb, bend, kneel, and reach; sit; and lift up to 50 lbs.
Occasionally required to lift up to 100 lbs.
Must be able to fulfill the essential driving and material handling functions in a state of alertness with safety in mind.
