About the Role
Enloe Medical Center is seeking an experienced GI Services Nurse Manager to provide clinical, operational, and leadership oversight for GI Services. This position works closely with the Director of Surgery Services to promote high-quality patient care, staff development, regulatory compliance, and departmental performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise nursing staff within GI Services.
- Promote high-quality patient care and best clinical practices.
- Support department budgeting, productivity, and resource management.
- Manage staffing, employee development, performance, and satisfaction.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor departmental operations, patient outcomes, and service quality.
- Participate in strategic planning and program development.
- Provide education and serve as a clinical resource to staff and other departments.
- Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized patient care plans.
- Ensure appropriate implementation and documentation of patient care.
- Provide direct patient care, education, or Charge Nurse coverage as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of cumulative GI experience
- 1 year of supervisory experience in the relevant area
- Current California RN License
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- PALS certification within 12 months of hire
- Strong leadership, communication, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN or related bachelor's degree
- 2 years of Critical Care experience
- Certified Gastrointestinal Registered Nurse (CGRN)
- Professional organization membership and management/supervision conference participation
Compensation & Schedule
Salary: $114,000 – $175,000/year
