Full Job Description

Zahntechnique is a dedicated team of dental artists who are passionate about crafting smiles – one patient at a time. We are searching for a motivated and creative individual to join our team as a dental technician who will be responsible for creating both gypsum and 3D printed models to aid in the fabrication of custom dental restorations. This position will require the individual to have 2+ years of work experience in a licensed dental laboratory.

This opportunity will include the following critical tasks and responsibilities:

Read and understand the doctor’s prescription to understand the processes needed to fulfill the requirements of the prescription.
Evaluate records (i.e., conventional impressions, models and intra orals scans) to check for distortions, pulls or any other discrepancies that may inhibit the ability to fabricate an accurate model.
Pour, groom and articulate models.
Cut and trim dies.
Scan dental models using a desktop dental scanner.
Design 3D models using CAD software.
Nest, print and post-process 3D prints.

The Required Competencies and Qualifications for this opportunity:

Proficient in English - reading and writing
Full understanding of dental terminology and dental morphology
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a licensed dental laboratory
Competent in fabricating crown and bridge, implants, and removable models
Competent in mounting dental models
Competent in sectioning and trimming dies on models
Proficiency using Microsoft Windows
Standing for 8-10 hours a day
Lifting 25lbs.

The Desired Competencies and Qualifications for this opportunity:

Proficiency fabricating models using the Amann Girrbach Giroform System
CAD/CAM experience
3D printing and processing
Ability to identify implant systems by evaluating the impression
