JOB SUMMARY

Helps support the accounting department through clerical duties and foundational bookkeeping tasks including data entry, maintaining physical and digital filing systems, and various tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliation for Elevanta and its clients.

JOB DUTIES

Responsible for ensuring accounting documents are scanned, physically filed, and digitally saved in a timely manner, in accordance with company and audit policies
Maintain physical and digital filing systems and reviewing accuracy of documents against accounting software records
Manage general email inbox and calendar for the accounting department
Review all vendor invoices for accuracy, ensuring approvals have been received, and enter accounting software for payment.
Help to reconcile the monthly credit card statement transactions against received approvals
Provide general assistance and support to accounting department, other duties as assigned, and ad hoc reporting as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS

Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field, and/or a minimum of two years of relevant work experience
Must have experience and knowledge of Sage Accounting software
Microsoft Office Suite – specifically proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Solid organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to handle highly confidential financial data with integrity and discretion
