Full Job Description

Manufacturing preparer or inspector

Make an impact at your new job! Evaporated Coatings Inc. (ECI), an optical coating manufacturer in Willow Grove, PA, has an opening for an Manufacturing Associate/Preparer in our manufacturing operations. This position is primarily responsible for preparing parts for coating, final inspection, and packaging by performing the following duties.

Job Type: Full-time

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Read paperwork, drawings, and process sheets.
Evaluate and inspect parts for quality defects and/or flaws. Document findings.
Collaborate with the production supervisor to determine how to fixture parts and adjust fixtures accordingly.
Collaborate with the production supervisor to determine (from specs) the appropriate cleaning method and clean all parts as necessary.
Remove parts from fixture and prepare for final inspection and packaging.
Complete required paperwork.
Collaborate with the production supervisor to document the cleaning and handling processes.
Provide feedback on potential process improvements that could be explored in the future.

WHAT YOU NEED - REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

5+ years’ experience in a technical manufacturing facility.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent hand eye coordination and the ability to handle delicate and critical parts in a clean environment.
Critical visual inspection ability including microscope inspection experience and ability to discern colors.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals. Ability to count parts and track lot numbers and serial numbers.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and process procedures. Ability to complete inspection reports.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
