Full Job Description

Position Overview

The Director of Marketing will lead the development and execution of a high-impact marketing strategy that fuels both organic and inorganic growth. This role is responsible for market analytics, pipeline development, brand messaging, and full utilization of Salesforce as a CRM to support a scalable, data-driven commercial engine.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, private equity–owned business, is skilled at supporting M&A-related integration and rebranding and brings a client-centric approach to all marketing activities. This leader must be both strategic and hands-on—comfortable developing creative campaigns while ensuring seamless execution under short timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Market Analysis

· Develop comprehensive market models that identify and monetize current and future opportunities for VCT

· Analyze competitive landscape (current and potential)

· Develop an Understanding of Current and Prospective Client Needs

· Establish Client Advisory Board

Market Segmentation

· Monetize segments and establish marketing hierarchy

· Lead implementation of SalesForce / HubSpot platforms

· Develop Campaign ROI Analytics

Positioning Strategy/Value Proposition

· Craft and refine VCT’s positioning and value proposition to differentiate in the marketplace

Communication Planning

· Drive internal communication strategies for employees and partners

· Lead external communication across digital channels, conferences, stakeholder engagement, pitch materials, and RFPs

· Oversee external agency relationships and deliverables

Product Development

· Identify organic growth opportunities through adjacent, synergistic offerings that will broaden VCT’s value proposition

· Evaluate and recommend inorganic growth opportunities, including potential acquisition targets

Role will require some travel and potential for hybrid work in the future.

Qualifications

Required

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.

· 8–10+ years of progressive marketing experience, ideally in health care, life sciences, compliance, or professional services.

· Experience in a high-growth, private equity–backed environment.

· Proven ability to lead marketing functions that support both organic and M&A-driven growth.

· Hands-on experience managing Salesforce as a CRM, including reporting, workflow design, and user adoption.

· Demonstrated ability to translate data and insights into marketing strategies and pipeline-building actions.

· Strong writing, messaging, and storytelling skills.

· Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple priorities with a high degree of independence.

· Creative, strategic thinker with a bias toward action and execution.

Preferred

· Experience in regulated industries, compliance services, or hospital and life sciences operations.

· Prior responsibility for brand integration during acquisitions.

· Experience leading internal and external design, content, and digital marketing resources.
