Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh ingredients, executing recipes with precision, and supporting the overall kitchen operations to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your culinary skills and attention to safety standards will help ensure that every dish meets our high-quality expectations. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your food industry expertise while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assist in meal assembly according to established recipes and menu specifications
Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors safely and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces to uphold food safety standards
Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure hygiene and prevent cross-contamination
Support menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming service periods
Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
Adhere strictly to safety standards during food production and maintain accurate documentation of food safety practices

Requirements

Prior experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
Proven food preparation and cooking skills, including knife techniques and slicing methods
Knowledge of food safety management and food handling regulations within the food industry
Experience operating kitchen equipment such as fryers, ovens, slicers, and mixers
Strong communication skills for effective teamwork with kitchen staff and servers
Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in meal presentation
Previous restaurant or catering experience is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
