Summary
A postdoc position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Dorina Avram in the Department of Immunology and Immuno-Oncology Program at the Moffitt Cancer Center to study transcriptional and epigenetic regulators that control the programs of tumor T lymphocytes. The goal is to identify favorable programs that allow the T cells to reach high persistence and resistance to immune suppressive tumor microenvironment, and further reprogram the T cells to such states. We use patient-derived samples, genetically engineered mouse models, along with state of the art molecular methodologies, including transcriptomics, epigenomics, CRISPR-CAS9-genome editing, multiplex immunofluorescence and spatial transcriptomics, with the ultimate goal to harness the immune responses for cancer therapies.
