Quality Assurance Coordinator (RN)

Quality Assurance Coordinator (RN) Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Coordinator (RN) to oversee and support quality improvement initiatives within our hospice organization. This role ensures compliance with Medicare, state licensing requirements, company policies, and regulatory standards while promoting high-quality patient care and continuous performance improvement.

Quality Assurance Coordinator (RN) Key Responsibilities

Conduct clinical chart audits and monitor documentation compliance.
Analyze quality data, identify trends, and collaborate with leadership to implement improvements.
Support and coordinate the agency's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Educate staff on documentation standards, infection control, and patient safety practices.
Assist in maintaining survey readiness and preparing annual quality improvement reports.
Promote effective communication and coordination among care providers.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Quality Assurance Coordinator (RN) Qualifications

Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality assurance, and compliance standards.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
Experience in hospice, home health, quality improvement, compliance, or clinical auditing.
Experience with QAPI programs and regulatory survey preparation.
Leadership experience preferred
Ability to travel to other offices as needed

Work Environment

Routine office environment with occasional moderate noise
Ability to work flexible or extended hours
Prolonged sitting with some standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and filing tasks
