Your Contribution: The Senior Systems Administrator is tasked with administering, maintaining, securing, and improving LCCU’s enterprise technology environment. Their primary responsibility is ensuring these systems run smoothly and reliably, whether by changing existing systems or creating new ones based on the priorities established during regular project planning. This position also supports LCCU’s technology modernization initiatives by evaluating, implementing, and supporting cloud-based and modern management capabilities where appropriate. As a senior technical expert in their specialty areas, the Senior Systems Administrator also documents and shares technical knowledge with IT Support and other technology team members to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
As a vital member of the LCCU team, your responsibilities include the following:

Serves as a technical expert in system administration for the full technology stack in a multi-office network infrastructure.

Deploys and optimizes enterprise infrastructure and Microsoft platform technologies, develops technical standards, and automates administrative processes across identity, endpoint management, virtualization, backup, storage, and monitoring.
- Performs systems administration across endpoint, server, identity, cloud, virtualization, backup, storage, and related infrastructure platforms.
- Administers endpoint and device-management capabilities, including Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot, security configuration, operating-system deployment, software distribution, compliance policies, patching, and related administration.
- Work with the technology team and LCCU business departments to understand how teams, employees or members will use technology and what programs, features, or platforms will serve them, to best assist with the evaluation and consideration of systems/hardware enhancements.
- Administers, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains LCCU’s enterprise infrastructure and Microsoft technology platforms, including Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure services, virtualization, backup, enterprise storage, and related systems.
- Administers identity, access, and authentication capabilities, including user lifecycle processes, single sign-on, multifactor authentication, Conditional Access, privileged access, and access reviews, and uses PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, APIs, and other tools to automate repeatable administrative processes where appropriate.
- Supports LCCU’s technology modernization initiatives by evaluating, implementing, and supporting cloud-based and modern management capabilities across Microsoft identity, endpoint, server, and infrastructure platforms.

Uses enterprise service-management and ticketing solutions and maintains working familiarity with Jira administration, workflows, and reporting.
- Contribute to the testing of business applications and technical infrastructure requirements.
- Collaborates with other IT disciplines and business application teams to troubleshoot issues, implement changes, test solutions, and support shared technology initiatives.

Supports the Enterprise Applications Manager in infrastructure initiatives, vendor engagements, technical escalations, and operational matters, serving as the senior technical point of contact when assigned.
- Performs proactive monitoring of infrastructure and systems to verify availability, performance, and integrity; reviews system and application logs; and improves monitoring, alerting, and automated response capabilities to identify and resolve issues before they materially impact operations.
- Works as part of a cross-functional technology team, maintaining primary accountability for assigned platforms while collaborating across infrastructure, applications, security, support, and business functions.
- Creates and maintains technical documentation, standards, procedures, and knowledge articles and provides knowledge transfer and cross-training to Systems Support and other technology team members.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; at least eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience working with complex IT infrastructures.

Minimum five years of senior-level systems administration experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, virtualization, enterprise identity, and related infrastructure technologies in an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or implementing modernization of traditional Microsoft infrastructure through cloud-based identity, endpoint management, automation, or other modern management technologies.
- Hands-on experience with several of the following: Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Entra Connect or Cloud Sync, Conditional Access, Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Azure services, and enterprise identity or authentication platforms.
- Experience evaluating, implementing, or administering identity and access technologies such as Microsoft Entra ID, Duo, Okta, or comparable platforms.

Experience with incident management, change management, asset management, configuration management, enterprise monitoring, and service-management or ticketing solutions such as Jira.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft enterprise platforms, server systems, identity technologies, and cloud services.
- Team player with ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to travel to other locations throughout the state as needed.
- Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to manage time with strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively and proactively.
- Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting a financial institution, credit union, bank, or other regulated organization.

Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as NCUA, FFIEC, GLBA, PCI DSS, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or comparable standards.

Experience consolidating or simplifying identity, authentication, endpoint-management, monitoring, or other overlapping enterprise technologies is preferred.
