Description of Work
This position has primary responsibility for the HRSA grant activities, including collaboration, facilitation, training and consultation. The position is directly supervised by the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program Manager.
Responsibilities and duties include:
Grant Planning, Development, and Implementation (70%); Responsible for grant planning for activities within the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program, including assurance that policies and plans conform to State and Federal laws and regulations and that resources are used in the most efficient and effective manner. Responsible for preparation of reporting mechanisms for the grant, to the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program and the Maternal and Child Health Bureau. Prepare and conduct meetings for grant activity development and implementation to adhere to the mission and goals of the Division, Section, Branch, Unit, Program, and Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Advisory Committee. Supervision of Parent Consultants involved in grant activities. Provide guidance and support related to grant direction and activities. Collaboration (20%); Ensure collaboration and coordination of the grant within the Unit, Branch, Section, Division and with all appropriate public and private entities outside of the grant and inform Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program and other partners and Advisory Committees of grant progress and direction. Consultation and Training (10%); Provide/Support consultation and training to providers on screening-rescreening-diagnosis-intervention process for newborn hearing screening and follow-up. Provide consultation to primary care providers regarding the importance of screening follow-up and appropriate referrals. Consult with local agencies, providers and programs regarding the identification and referral of children, who have risk factors for late onset or progressive hearing loss.

Salary Range: $52,592 - $92,036

- Experience coordinating or managing federally funded grant projects, including work plan development, progress monitoring, and preparation of required reports.
- Demonstrated ability to lead collaboration efforts with internal teams, healthcare providers, and community partners.
- Experience delivering training and consultation to providers involved in screening, diagnosis, referral, or early intervention services.
- Experience conducting program data tracking and analysis to assess outcomes and guide program improvements.
