MedOp Solutions is partnering with a nationally recognized healthcare organization in Oak Lawn, Illinois to hire an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR RN) for a 13-week contract assignment.
This opportunity is based within a Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated hospital, and Comprehensive Stroke Center that performs a high volume of complex cardiovascular and surgical procedures. The CVOR RN will be responsible for both scrubbing and circulating adult and/or pediatric open-heart procedures while supporting a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment.
This role is ideal for experienced CVOR nurses with strong critical care and trauma backgrounds who thrive in advanced surgical settings and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

- Scrub and circulate cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Assist with adult and/or pediatric open-heart cases
- Maintain sterile technique and surgical safety standards
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, perfusionists, and surgical staff
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment for procedures
- Monitor patient status throughout surgical interventions
- Document care accurately in EPIC
- Participate in emergency trauma and urgent surgical cases as assigned
- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Active Illinois RN License required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2–3 years of CVOR experience required
- Must be able to both scrub and circulate open-heart procedures
- Critical Care experience required
- Level I Trauma experience required
- EPIC experience required
