Assistant Project Manager –Commercial Construction (Boise, Idaho)

Full‑time In‑office $80,000–$110,000 + full benefits

The Opportunity

This Assistant Project Manager position is being created to support workload growth and relieve two long‑time team members who have carried significant responsibility for many years. It is a singular, high‑impact role that sits at the center of project execution, working closely with the project administrator, operations manager, accountant, and general superintendent.

This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned project engineer or early‑career project manager who is ready to take the next step — someone who understands construction, communicates exceptionally well, and wants to own the administrative and financial performance of their projects.

You’ll manage 10–25 projects per year, ranging from $50K to $10M, with a combined annual value of roughly $20M. The work is primarily office‑based with some field involvement.

What You’ll Help Do

Lead the administrative and financial performance of assigned projects
Manage awarded projects from handoff through closeout
Conduct pre‑construction planning and job setup
Prepare, submit, and track product submittals
Procure materials and coordinate with suppliers
Develop and maintain project schedules (with guidance from operations leadership)
Coordinate work with customers, general contractors, and field teams
Prepare and submit change orders
Prepare and submit monthly project billings
Review contract agreements and ensure compliance with all requirements
Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial integrity throughout execution

What You Bring

Experience in the construction industry with strong familiarity reading plans and specifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail, disciplined follow‑through, and strong organizational habits
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑moving environment
Professionalism and confidence when working with general contractors, owners, and representatives
A collaborative mindset — comfortable working closely with a small, experienced team
