Ambient Recruiting is partnering with a manufacturing company in Gaylord to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Sanitation Manager. In this role, you'll oversee sanitation operations, lead sanitation staff, and help ensure the facility maintains high standards for food safety, cleanliness, quality, and regulatory compliance.
This is a great opportunity for a strong leader with sanitation, food safety, QA, or manufacturing experience who enjoys hands-on supervision and takes pride in maintaining high standards in a fast-paced production environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Sanitation Manager, you'll:
- Oversee and manage sanitation staff and daily sanitation operations
- Schedule sanitation team members to ensure proper coverage
- Conduct sanitation audits to verify cleaning effectiveness and production readiness
- Ensure sanitation staff follow safety procedures and proper PPE requirements
- Monitor chemical usage, concentrations, and sanitation process temperatures
- Verify ATP and allergen swab testing is completed and meets required standards after CIP cycles
- Develop, maintain, and update the Master Sanitation Schedule
- Complete daily sanitation reports and required documentation
- Support QA and Production teams with cleaning procedures and production changeovers
- Maintain sanitation tools, equipment, and supplies
- Assist in developing and improving cleaning procedures and sanitation programs
- Identify and report sanitation or quality issues to QA and leadership
- Provide training, coaching, and employee development support
- Assist with troubleshooting sanitation and QA-related issues
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the QA Manager or Operations leadership
What We're Looking For
Successful candidates typically have:
- Previous sanitation, QA, or food manufacturing leadership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of sanitation procedures, food safety, and GMPs
- Ability to effectively manage and schedule a team
- Knowledge of chemical handling, concentrations, and cleaning procedures
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with QA, Production, and Operations teams
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to train, coach, and support employees
- Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ATP testing
- Familiarity with allergen control practices
- Previous experience working with CIP processes
- Experience developing or maintaining sanitation programs
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- Food manufacturing experience
