Responsibilities
1) Chemical free hand weeding with focus on removal of roots with attached weeds.
2) Deadheading spent blooms.
3) Pruning lower level dead branches on shrubs and bushes as well as removing cross branches.
4) Showcasing gardens.
5) Hedge trimming.
6) Unloading topsoil.
7) Applying pre-emergent weed deterrents.
8) Removing existing gardens and individual plants and bushes.
9) Planting new gardens.
10) Using spades, hand pruners, flower snippers, shears, loppers, shovels, rakes, hedge trimmers, blowers and other garden related tools.
11) Installing soaker/drip hose systems.
12) General seasonal yard clean up of leaves, branches and debris.
13) Loading garden debris into contractor bags or trailer.
14) Assisting with offload of debris at dump sites.
15) Watering.
16) Use blower for driveway and sidewalk clean up.
17) Tracking and reporting arrival and departure times.
18) Submitting timesheets.
Qualifications
1) Must possess a United States Social Security Number, a State Issued photo ID and be a citizen of the United States or have an unexpired Green card.
2) Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
3) Must have reliable transportation.
4) Must be reliable and dependable.
5) Must have attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
6) Must have the ability to work independently without supervision.
7) Gardening experience not required but must WANT to learn!
8) Must be able to tolerate working in an outside environment, temperature fluctuations, working in dirt and mulch, and everything that comes with gardening!
9) Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, twist, bend, stretch, reach above your head with hand tools, and walk distances.
10) Must be able to dig, rake, snip flowers, cut overhead branches, load debris into a trailer and dig holes.
11) Must have the ability to handle a blower, hedge trimmer and other gardening tools.
12) Must have the ability to handle a wheelbarrow and pitchfork.
13) Ability to lift 50 lbs.
