Full Job Description

Job Summary
$2000 Sign On Bonus! (Must have 2+ years chairside experience and expanded functions certificiation to receive sign on bonus).

Join our dynamic dental team as a Full-Time Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and patient communication will help create positive experiences for every patient. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting dedicated to improving smiles and boosting confidence. All levels of experience are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism.
Prepare treatment rooms by setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly while maintaining strict aseptic techniques.
Take dental radiographs (X-ray imaging), including 3D scans when necessary, following all safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Support patients by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly using appropriate dental terminology, and addressing questions or concerns with empathy.
Perform chairside assisting during procedures by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatment.
Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization procedures and adherence to aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Collaborate with the dental team as part of four-handed dentistry practices to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.

Requirements

Proven experience working in a dental office environment.
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following radiation safety standards; certification in radiography preferred.
Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including vital signs measurement and medical imaging procedures.
Knowledge of medical records management, medical coding practices, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics; compassionate approach is essential.
Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of infection control.
