Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Cook to join our dynamic Growing and expanding culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, pastries, and desserts that delight our customers nationwide Your expertise in pastry preparation, cake decorating, and food presentation will contribute to creating visually stunning and delicious offerings. This position offers an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Prepare a wide range of baked goods, including cakes, cookies,tarts, and according to established recipes and quality standards
Decorate cakes with attention to detail to ensure visual appeal
Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, pastry bags, and other tools safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
Package baked goods for wholesale or catering orders while ensuring freshness and presentation standards are met
Assist in food production processes for special events or high-volume orders, ensuring timely delivery
Follow all food handling procedures, recipe adherence, and safety protocols to uphold hygiene standards

Qualifications

Proven experience in pastry preparation, baking, or a related culinary field within the food industry or restaurant environment
Strong cake decorating skills with an eye for detail and presentation
Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling techniques
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques specific to pastries and baked goods
Experience with high-volume production environments is preferred
Basic math skills for measurements, portioning, and recipe adjustments
Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Catering or restaurant experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
