POSITION OVERVIEW:

Catalytic Combustion is immediately hiring for a HSE Specialist at it's Headquarters Office in Bloomer, WI. The HSE Specialist is responsible for promoting employee safety and health by applying knowledge of laws, policies, and procedures. The HSE Specialist will also identify and evaluate hazards in work areas, processes, equipment, work practices and advise operations on safety, health and environmental matters.

Location: Bloomer, WI

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with flexibility

In this role, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Lead the Safety Taskforce to create a positive safety culture throughout the company, reduce the risk of workplace injuries and illness and ensure compliance with federal & state regulations
Lead incident investigations, identify root cause and work cooperatively with Operations and Human Resources to provide corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.
Manage injury claims and return to work program
Assist with the development and implementation of comprehensive environmental, health & safety programs and initiatives that comply with regulatory requirements and promote employee participation and accountability
Monitor compliance with safety procedures, ensuring OSHA compliance, including assisting with record keeping. Record and document all environmental, health and safety requirements

Qualifications and experience:

Bachelor's in Safety, Business or related degree is preferred
3+ years of experience in a Quality or safety role is preferred
Experience supporting OSHA and environmental compliance programs is required
Experience working in an ISO-certified manufacturing facility is desired
Ability to obtain certification as a CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
