Platinum CFO & Accounting provides outsourced accounting and financial management services to growing businesses. We work closely with business owners to deliver accurate financial reporting, strong internal processes, and exceptional client service.

Our firm is growing, and we're looking for a CPA who takes pride in organization, accuracy, and helping clients succeed.

Client Impact and Visibility. We focus on building long-term client relationships rather than maximizing the number of clients per accountant. You'll work directly with business owners and become a trusted advisor, not just process transactions behind the scenes.
Professional Growth Opportunities. You will work with the Founders of Platinum directly and gain exposure to financial analysis, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and CFO-level decision support.
Quality Over Volume. We focus on building long-term client relationships rather than maximizing the number of clients per accountant.

The Role

This is a hands-on accounting position responsible for managing Staff Accountants and supervising their work taking care of the day-to-day accounting needs of a portfolio of clients.

You will work directly with business owners and our leadership team to ensure clients receive timely, accurate financial information and outstanding service.

Responsibilities

Oversee Staff Accountants completing the tasks below & assist in completing work as needed.
Manage monthly accounting for a diverse portfolio of growing businesses across multiple industries. Every client presents unique challenges and opportunities to learn.
Compete bookkeeping and ensure accuracy of financial records
Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts
Prepare monthly financial statements
Analyze financial results and identify unusual transactions
Coordinate with tax preparers and client advisors
Communicate with clients regarding accounting questions
Manage deadlines and ensure timely completion of monthly closes
At the moment we do not do tax returns for our clients, but we hope to add this in the near future, so experience preparing business tax returns is a bonus.

Qualifications

3+ years of CPA experience
Experience with QuickBooks Online & Desktop required
Experience managing multiple clients or entities preferred
Strong Excel skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Motivated self starter
