Position Overview

BK Fiber is hiring an in-person Field Sales Representative to drive residential signups in apartment buildings where BK Fiber infrastructure is already installed. This role focuses on converting apartment owners and tenants through face-to-face outreach, building events, and relationship-building with property managers, leasing teams, front desk staff, and residents.

This is a field-based sales role for someone who is highly social, proactive, and comfortable initiating conversations in person. The role is designed for a motivated seller who wants stable W-2 income plus substantial upside through uncapped commissions.

What You’ll Do

Generate new residential internet signups in BK Fiber-enabled apartment buildings
Conduct door-knocking, lobby outreach, and in-person follow-up with residents
Build relationships with leasing offices, front desk teams, supers, and property managers
Attend, support, or help organize building events such as coffee hours, happy hours, and other resident activations
Distribute building-specific sales and marketing materials, including flyers and printed collateral
Clearly explain BK Fiber’s value proposition: 1 Gig symmetrical internet for a flat monthly rate, no contract, no install fee, no taxes, no price escalation, and local support
Handle objections and help residents switch from incumbent providers such as Verizon and Spectrum, which dominate much of the NYC market
Track activity and outcomes in BK Fiber’s CRM, including doors knocked, conversations held, follow-ups, and conversions
Help drive long-term building penetration by winning new residents and capturing tenant turnover over time

What Success Looks Like

Establish strong relationships inside assigned buildings with management teams and resident-facing staff
Drive meaningful building penetration over time, with a rough target of approximately 3% monthly penetration in focus buildings
Build repeatable building-level sales motion through outreach, events, follow-up, and conversion tracking
Create strong visibility for BK Fiber within buildings so that new and renewing residents consider BK Fiber first

Qualifications

Strong people skills and confidence in face-to-face selling
Comfortable working in the field and initiating conversations with residents and building staff
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage follow-up independently
Professional, polite, and accommodating in all building interactions
Able to explain service plans and value clearly and simply
Prior experience in field sales, residential sales, retail sales, hospitality, canvassing, or customer-facing work is helpful
Familiarity with New York City residential buildings is a plus

Compensation

W-2 role with a base salary starting at $40,000 per year (good-faith estimate)
Uncapped commission of $100 for each new active residential signup
Additional bonuses for hitting escalating building penetration milestones
Compensation includes both salary and commission, and total earnings are not capped

Strong performers can significantly increase their earnings through monthly signups and building-level penetration gains. Compensation is designed to reward initiative, consistency, and long-term relationship-building.

Schedule and Work Environment

Full-time, field-based role
Work primarily takes place in residential apartment buildings in Brooklyn and Manhattan
Some flexibility may be required to match resident availability and building event schedules
Reporting initially to BK Fiber leadership, with regular KPI and pipeline reviews
