Full Job Description

A&A Coatings of South Plainfield, NJ is seeking to immediately fill the FULL TIME position of Shopfloor Quality Control Inspector in our thermal spray coatings facility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute incoming, in-process / final and outgoing inspections
Operate QC gauges and instruments such as micrometer, caliper, depth gauge, etc.
Follow inspection plans and job requirements, Verify dimensional and visual requirements of the job order.
Conduct in-process QC checks for completeness and correctness of the job card
Annotate check lists and work order with completed inspections
Handle GFM in accordance with customer requirements and company procedures
Identify nonconforming products or gauges that don’t meet standard or specification and bring to QA Engineer’s attention
Perform internal QC instrument calibration.
Participate in corrective and preventive actions
Perform collateral duties as required

QUALIFACTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

High School graduate or equivalent with a minimum of one year machine shop, quality control, or related experience (i.e. trade school, apprentice school training, etc.)
Experience in manufacturing environment or machine shop a plus
Thorough Understanding and Ability to Read / Interpret engineering drawings
Measurement Equipment Comprehension (Calipers, Micrometers, Depth Gauge)
Capable of calculating basic mathematical functions related to the dimensional values
Able to work in a very fast paced environment
Ability to review, analyze and disposition non-conforming material
Independently convert dimensional values from one unit system to other
Computer Skills such as Word and Excel a plus
Self-Motivated, Willing to Grow.
Technically Inclined
Can communicate problem/issue in English to Superior
Can pass visual eye exam, hearing test, drug screening and basic training tests

PAY, HOURS AND BENEFITS

$16 – $26 per hour depending on prior work experience and qualifications
7am-3:30pm Straight time Monday-Friday,
Frequent Overtime
