Customer Care Coordinator – Office / Warehouse / WMS

Location: Edison, NJ
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Overtime: As needed
Pay: $24.00–$27.00 per hour, based on experience

Warehouse Labor is Hiring!

Warehouse Labor is seeking an experienced Customer Care Coordinator for a leading logistics and distribution company in Edison, NJ.

This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong combination of office/customer service experience and hands-on warehouse or distribution experience, including familiarity with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, warehouse operations, transportation providers, and internal teams to coordinate shipments, resolve issues, maintain accurate system information, and support daily logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, shipments, deliveries, billing, invoices, and service requests.
Track and trace shipments and provide customers with timely and accurate updates.
Enter, update, and maintain customer and shipment information in the WMS and other company systems.
Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and on schedule.
Monitor order status and follow up on delays, discrepancies, shortages, or other issues.
Prepare rate quotes and assist with customer account and pricing inquiries.
Process and review warehouse accessorial charges and related billing.
Investigate and assist with overage, shortage, and damaged freight claims.
Communicate with carriers and transportation providers regarding pickups, deliveries, and shipment status.
Maintain accurate documentation, customer records, shipment information, and account requirements.
Work closely with warehouse operations to resolve inventory, order, and shipment discrepancies.
Assist with daily administrative and operational tasks supporting the warehouse and customer service functions.
Provide professional and responsive customer service while managing multiple priorities.
Escalate issues appropriately and follow through until resolution.

Qualifications

Required

1+ year of office/customer service experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or distribution.
1+ year of warehouse or distribution experience.
Hands-on experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is required.
Strong computer and data-entry skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, warehouse employees, carriers, and management.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office and warehouse environment.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred

Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS).
Experience with shipment tracking and freight coordination.
Experience with warehouse billing or accessorial charges.
Experience processing freight claims.
Previous experience working in a logistics, 3PL, distribution, or transportation environment.
