Full Job Description

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Job description:

We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout our facility. Your primary focus will be accurately transporting pallets around a warehouse, loading and unloading pallets on trailers in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
Production Targets: Meet daily production goals and maintain high efficiency throughout each shift.
Inventory Control: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory by storing materials in designated locations.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform pre and post-shift inspections and conduct minor maintenance to ensure operational safety.
Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all safety instructions, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Physical Requirements:

Shift Endurance: Ability to work shifts ranging from 8 to 10 hours, depending on daily production requirements.
Heavy Lifting: Safely and frequently lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
Equipment Operation: Exert moderate physical effort to continuously operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment.

Qualification:

(Provided) Forklift Certification: Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
Language Skills: Fluency in both Spanish and English (highly preferred).

Work Environment:

Noise & Climate: Comfortable working in an active warehouse with moderate to loud noise levels and variable temperatures.
Active Surroundings: Alert and safety-conscious while working around heavy machinery, moving forklifts, and pedestrian traffic.
