Full Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for organizing and distributing incoming mail and packages to the correct individual and/or department. Receives and processes all returned mail. Inventories, orders and stocks all office & kitchen supplies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Sort and collate incoming, outgoing, and interoffice mail and packages.
Open and review incoming mail to ensure proper delivery, and discard junk mail.
Maintain all logs, records, and receipts of incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
Deliver mail, messages, documents, and packages to individuals/departments within the Home Office.
Receive and process all returned mail. This includes contacting the FA for corrected address information and resending per FA’s instructions.
Process all outgoing mail and packages via USPS, Federal Express, UPS to meet delivery deadlines.
Order and stock supplies in mail room and copy areas.
Order and stock snacks for break room.
Operate mail and office machines, i.e., postage meter, photocopier, etc.
Primary back up to the receptionist as needed.
Perform general administrative and office tasks such as scanning and filing of documents.

Qualifications:

Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational, observation skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
General computer operating ability including Microsoft Office products.
Onsite presence required.

Education and/or Work Experience:

Minimum Education Required: High School diploma.
Minimum Work Experience Required: 1+ years of related experience.

Work Environment:

This position requires the ability to work in a stationary position for several hours at a time and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally. Some filing is required. The work environment is an air-conditioned, smoke-free, office environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
