Full Job Description

We’re seeking an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to support our mission to help children achieve their highest potential. The Registered Nurse (RN) working in the EI setting will provide services that refer to biological, psychological, and emotional changes that occur in children from birth to adolescence as the child grows from dependency to increasing autonomy. The RN will communicate the progress of strategies and services to provide support as these changes occur in the family.

Work Requirements:

Providing support services to the family as recorded on the IFSP.
Meeting the EI Program documentation requirements.
Providing face-to-face services and communication with families.
Meeting the EI Program billing deadlines.
Provides the services to meet the child’s goals in each development interval as recorded in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
Promoting increased child development through parental education, quality of care training, and medical strategies for children with biological issues.
Attends the Transdisciplinary Team Consultation Meetings (TTCM) with the other team members providing services to the child.
Provides quality documentation to the EI billing department according to the FIT program guidelines.
A nurse may perform the duties of a Family Service Coordinator in the EI program.
A nurse working in this capacity must qualify and complete all the required by the position.
The nurse will perform services as recorded on the IFSP.
The nurse participates in the 6-month review of the IFSP goals and outcomes.
The nurse will provide ongoing support to the families to enhance their ability to meet the child’s developmental needs.
All other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree or higher as a Registered Nurse.
Licensure from the NM Board of Nursing
Work experience within the medical field.
Bilingual skills English/Spanish are a plus.
Ability to work in a changing environment gathering relevant information to integrate a change or modify a program for the family.
A car in good working order, a valid driver’s license, and appropriate auto insurance are required to complete the visits in the EI program.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds (e.g., boxes, equipment) without assistance. Capability to stand and walk for extended periods, including moving around the workspace, performing tasks, and interacting with colleagues or customers. Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel to access various items, equipment, or workspaces as required. Aptitude to reach overhead, horizontally, and below waist level to retrieve and handle objects or materials. Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks continuously throughout the workday. Physical ability to move freely and quickly in various work environments, including navigating stairs, ramps, or uneven terrain if necessary. If the job involves driving, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate vehicles safely and responsibly may be required.
