Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to individuals in various care settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by assisting with daily activities, monitoring health, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or autism.

Duties

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs to ensure health and safety
Support medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA regulations
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning in accordance with care plans
Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through light cleaning duties
Document care activities accurately and report any changes in condition to healthcare professionals
Support clients during outings or community activities to promote social engagement
Follow individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences
Ensure compliance with all safety standards including CPR and First Aid procedures

Requirements

Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care is preferred
Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is highly desirable
Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certifications if not already held
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams
Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy
Compassionate attitude with patience and understanding for individuals facing health challenges or cognitive impairments
Valid driver’s license may be required for certain roles involving community outings or home visits

This role is essential in providing compassionate caregiving that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being for clients across various settings. We welcome applicants committed to making a positive impact through dedicated personal care.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
