About the role
The HSE Specialist provides technical expertise in health, safety, and environmental processes, supporting the development and implementation of safe working practices. This role focuses on risk assessments, method statements, and compliance with internal and external standards. The HSE Specialist contributes to incident investigations, audits, and performance monitoring while supporting digital systems and reporting tools. Working closely with operational teams, the role ensures practical application of HSE requirements and promotes continuous improvement. The HSE Specialist plays a key role in maintaining documentation, supporting training efforts, and ensuring consistent adherence to organizational HSE frameworks.
This position is based in our Oklahoma City office and requires travel to project sites across multiple locations.
Key responsibilities
The role covers a number of key areas, including but not limited to the following:
· Conduct risk assessments and develop RAMS
· Support implementation of HSE procedures
· Assist in incident investigations and root cause analysis
· Maintain HSE documentation and records
· Support audits and compliance checks
· Deliver HSE guidance to operational teams
· Assist with data collection and reporting
· Promote safe work practices
Minimum Requirements
· High school diploma or GED
· Two (2) or more years of experience in workplace safety, construction, manufacturing or related field.
· Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time.
· Must have a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
· Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and in confined spaces.
· Ability to work safely at heights exceeding 100 feet.
· Visual ability sufficient to perform job duties, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and color recognition.
· Ability to climb wind turbine towers while carrying tools and equipment.
Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment, parts, and tools weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
· Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred
· Experience in the Wind Energy industry.
· OSHA 30 construction certification.
· Current GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) and Advanced Rescue Training (ART) certifications, or the ability to obtain and maintain these certifications as required.

Compensation
· Depending on skills, experience, and qualifications, the expected hourly pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00
