Full Job Description

Job Overview
KAT Health LLC is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide quality in-home care to a client in Elgin, IL.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, attentive, and committed to providing respectful, person-centered care while supporting the client's daily needs and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.

Schedule

Thursday: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Saturday: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Sunday: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe changes in health status to report to healthcare professionals promptly
Support medication management by administering prescribed medications following HIPAA guidelines and care plans
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to ensure safe patient transfers and prevent injury
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry
Document patient progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
Assist clients with morning routines and evening bedtime care to ensure comfort and safety throughout the day

Qualifications

Prior experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing home settings or group homes is highly preferred
Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration
Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training are advantageous
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease or autism spectrum disorder is desirable
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate attitude towards clients’ needs
Reliable transportation and flexibility to work split shifts, including mornings, evenings, or weekends as required
