Overview
Join our dynamic team as an IT Technician and become a vital contributor to maintaining and enhancing our organization's technology infrastructure. In this role, you'll deliver exceptional technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure seamless operation of computer systems across the company. Your proactive approach will help keep our IT environment secure, efficient, and responsive to the needs of our users. Duties

Provide comprehensive technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Manage computer hardware components such as desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot software problems related to operating systems, applications like Microsoft Office, and specialized enterprise tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, and Help Desk systems.
Configure and maintain computer networks including LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and other security measures to safeguard organizational data.
Assist with the setup and management of IT infrastructure components like switches, routers, and servers to support business operations.
Support user account management within Active Directory and other directory services; assist with password resets and access permissions.
Document incidents and resolutions, escalate complex issues when necessary for prompt resolution.

Skills

Strong technical support skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
Proficiency in managing computers across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
Knowledge of computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewall management, and network security protocols.
Experience with troubleshooting software applications like Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical solutions to non-technical users and provide outstanding customer service.
Ability to manage computer hardware components effectively while ensuring system security through proper configuration of firewalls and network devices.
Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira for tracking issues; experience with IT support workflows is highly desirable.
