About Viridian
Viridian Weapon Technologies, a market leader in advanced optics, lights, lasers, and shooting accessories, is seeking a talented and versatile Senior Graphic Designer to join our growing marketing team. This is a hands-on creative role responsible for developing visual content across multiple channels, including digital, web, email, print, packaging, advertising, and events.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable helping bring new products to market, developing creative campaigns, designing print and digital advertisements, creating trade show and event experiences, building eCommerce assets, developing product packaging, and supporting the ongoing evolution of the Viridian brand. This role requires a versatile designer who can think strategically, execute at a high level, and contribute across nearly every customer touchpoint.
Position Summary
The Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating compelling visual communications that support Viridian's marketing, sales, product launch, and brand-building efforts. This role works closely with the Director of Marketing and cross-functional teams to develop creative assets that drive engagement, support product sales, and strengthen brand awareness.
This position requires a designer who can balance creativity with execution, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain a high standard of quality across every customer touchpoint.
Responsibilities
Creative Design & Brand Development
- Develop creative assets that support Viridian's brand, products, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
- Maintain and evolve brand consistency across all customer-facing channels.
- Contribute creative concepts and visual solutions that support business objectives and product launches.
- Help shape and elevate the visual identity of the Viridian brand.
Advertising & Campaign Creative
- Design print and digital advertising creative that supports product launches, promotions, and brand awareness initiatives.
- Develop advertisements for industry publications, dealer programs, distributor promotions, and co-op marketing opportunities.
- Create creative assets for paid digital campaigns, social media advertising, display advertising, and retargeting campaigns.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaign concepts and supporting creative across multiple channels.
- Ensure all advertising creative aligns with brand standards and marketing objectives.
Digital & Web Design
- Design website graphics, landing pages, product imagery, digital advertisements, and eCommerce assets.
- Create graphics for social media, online advertising, and digital marketing campaigns.
- Support website merchandising and promotional initiatives.
Email Marketing
- Design email campaigns, newsletters, promotional emails, and supporting graphics.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling email creative that drives engagement and conversions.
Print, Packaging & Production
- Design and maintain product packaging, labels, inserts, instruction manuals, dealer materials, catalogs, sales sheets, and printed marketing collateral.
- Prepare production-ready files for commercial printing and packaging vendors.
- Manage packaging revisions and production artwork updates across multiple product lines.
Trade Shows & Events
- Design booth graphics, banners, signage, presentations, displays, and event collateral.
- Support major industry events including SHOT Show, NRA Annual Meetings, distributor events, dealer programs, and trade shows.
Collaboration & Project Management
- Work closely with marketing, sales, product management, customer service, and external partners.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining deadlines and quality standards.
- Organize and maintain creative assets and production files.
- Participate in creative planning, campaign development, and product launch initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional graphic design experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience across multiple marketing channels, including digital, web, advertising, email, print, packaging, and event design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including:
- Adobe InDesign
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Experience preparing production-ready files for both print and digital applications.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, branding, and visual communication.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Maple Plain, Minnesota.
- Portfolio or relevant work examples required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing for eCommerce websites and digital marketing campaigns.
- Experience with email marketing platforms and email design.
- Experience creating trade show, event, and environmental graphics.
- Experience working with product packaging and production artwork.
- Experience and or a strong interest in the outdoor, hunting, shooting sports, tactical, firearms, or consumer products industries.
- Familiarity with photography, product photography, and image editing.
- Comfortable working around firearms and participating in product demonstrations, range events, trade shows, and industry activities.
- Proficiency with:
- Video editing
- Motion graphics and animation
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Content creation for social media
- Basic HTML or email development knowledge
