About Our Firm

We are a well-established public accounting firm serving individuals and small businesses throughout the region. Our practice provides bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation, and business advisory services with a focus on accuracy, integrity, and exceptional client service.

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced accounting professionals while developing new skills and building a long-term career in public accounting.

Position Summary

The Accounting Associate will be responsible for providing bookkeeping and accounting services to a variety of small business clients while assisting our tax and accounting staff throughout the year.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, enjoys working with numbers, and takes pride in providing outstanding service to clients.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for multiple business clients.
Record and reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
Process payroll and payroll tax filings.
Prepare and file sales tax returns.
Assist clients with accounting software questions.
Communicate professionally with clients regarding financial information.
Maintain organized electronic client files.
Assist with administrative accounting projects as assigned.

Opportunities for Growth

As experience is gained, additional responsibilities may include:

Individual income tax preparation (Form 1040)
Business tax preparation
Tax planning support
Financial statement preparation
Client consulting and advisory services

Qualifications

Preferred

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience processing payroll
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
