We're a locally owned optometry practice in Elko looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Optician to join our team. You don't need optical experience — we'll train the right person. What you do need is a genuine enjoyment of people, a sharp eye for detail, and the confidence to help someone find the frames that make them feel like themselves.

What You'll Be Doing
Greet patients and answer phones with a warm, helpful tone
Help patients choose frames and style them in glasses they'll love
Explain lens options clearly and kindly, so people can make good decisions
Dispense glasses and contact lenses with care and accuracy
Take payments, enter orders, and maintain patient records
Assist the front desk as needed to keep the day running smoothly
Comfort with a computer is essential — you'll be in our practice software throughout the day entering orders and updating records.
Who This Is For
We're looking for someone who:
Enjoys helping people and does it naturally, not just professionally
Catches the small stuff — a wrong measurement, a misspelled name, a frame that doesn't sit right
Stays accurate and warm even when the lobby is full
Wants to stay long-term and build something here
Lives in or has ties to the Elko area
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and it's worth more on our pay scale
Experience in optical, retail sales, or healthcare is a plus — but not required.
What We Offer

$17–$22/hour based on experience, plus a monthly sales bonus
