Job Overview

Proceed is seeking a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Data Entry / Administrative Assistant to join our Legal Support Services team in Harrisonburg, VA. In this important role, you will provide administrative and data entry support to help ensure legal matters are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong and accurate typing and data entry skills, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines will play an important role in supporting our clients, process servers, and internal teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys administrative work, problem-solving, and being part of a team that provides essential support to the legal industry.

Responsibilities

Accurately enter, update, and maintain case information, client data, service details, and other records in company systems.
Review documents and information for accuracy, completeness, and proper formatting.
Process incoming legal documents and ensure information is entered into the appropriate systems in a timely manner.
Assist with opening, updating, and closing assignments and cases.
Upload, scan, organize, and maintain electronic documents and records.
Monitor assignments and deadlines to help ensure time-sensitive work is completed promptly.
Communicate professionally with clients, process servers, court personnel, vendors, and coworkers.
Assist with email and internet-based communications and respond to routine requests for information or status updates.
Research and verify information as needed to ensure records are accurate and complete.
Identify missing or inconsistent information and work with the appropriate team members to resolve discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and organized electronic records.
Provide general administrative and clerical support to the office and operations team.
Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive client, legal, and personal information with discretion.
Perform additional administrative duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous data entry, administrative, clerical, office support, or customer service experience is preferred.
Experience in the legal services industry is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Must Possess

Strong and accurate typing/keying skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong oral and internet-based communication skills.
Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and follow established procedures.
Professional and dependable work habits.
Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
Ability to learn and navigate new software, databases, and technology.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is preferred.
