Job Overview

Join our team in San Diego. We're a modern, patient-centered private dental practice looking for an exceptional Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant who takes pride in delivering outstanding patient care. Duties

Prepare, break down, disinfect, and reset treatment rooms while maintaining excellent infection control standards.
Assist dentists during restorative, crown, and bridge, cosmetic, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and implants procedures.
Fabricate provisional restorations as needed.
Take high-quality digital radiographs and intra-oral photos.
Take digital impressions or be willing to learn.
Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
Accurately maintain patient records and clinical documentation in Denticon while following HIPAA requirements.
Accurately post completed services and procedures according to the daily schedule, ensuring progress notes and clinical documentation are completed in patient's chart.
Accurately enter doctor-diagnosed treatment into the patient's chart and treatment plan in Denticon, ensuring proper documentation and attention to detail.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene, recommended treatment, and post-treatment care instructions
Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow to support an efficient clinical schedule.
Manage and maintain clinical inventory, including monitoring supply levels, organizing supplies, checking expiration dates, restocking operatories and clinical areas, and communicating supply and ordering needs to management.
Maintain and properly run dental unit waterlines and evacuation/suction lines according to office protocols and manufacturer recommendations.
Maintain sterilization areas and ensure instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, stored, and organized.
Participate in administrative-day responsibilities, including deep cleaning and organizing operatories, sterilization and clinical areas; cleaning and maintaining equipment; restocking supplies; organizing inventory; and preparing the back office for upcoming patient care.
Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked operatories, sterilization areas, cabinets, drawers, and clinical storage areas throughout the workweek.
Provide occasional front-office cross coverage as needed, including answering phones, assisting patients, scheduling appointments, and supporting patient flow, while maintaining primary responsibilities as a clinical Dental Assistant/RDA.
Assist with dental laboratory procedures as appropriate to the position.
Work collaboratively with the doctor and entire team to keep the schedule running efficiently and provide an exceptional patient experience.
