Assisted Living Caregivers or Personal Assistants are key to our successful provision of care for the seniors who stay with us on our beautiful campus.

If you have provided private in-home caregiving, have worked in a skilled care facility in activities, housekeeping, laundry, or dietary, or have a love of the elderly, our position of Assisted Living Caregiver or Personal Assistant may be just what you are looking for.

Liberty Village of Marion is seeking qualified full and part-time Assisted Living Caregivers or Personal Assistants. We have an opening for all shifts. We desire individuals who have a passion for helping people, who thrive in a team environment, and who want to make a difference all while advancing their skills. Duties of Assisted Living Caregivers or Personal Assistants:

Follow and help carry out a resident's written service plan.
Provide personal care services for residents, including but not limited to bathing, earing, dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, ambulation and assistance with transfers.
Observe the resident's functioning, maintain written records of the observations and report any changes to the licensed nurse.
Attend initial training, in-service training sessions and staff conferences.
Attend various in-service training to maintain skills for a minimum of 12 hours per year.
Complete resident daily checks per policy.
Report any environmental issues that potentially affect resident's safety to the manager of maintenance staff.
Assist other departments as needed to ensure a safe, clean and orderly environment.
Be CPR certified and able to respond appropriately in an emergency.
Other duties as assigned.

Assisted Living Caregiver or Personal Assistants Skills

Basic computer skills
Ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations with a cool head
Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy ("bedside manner")
High School diploma or GED
