Certified Behavior Technician

Looking to make a positive impact in the lives of children? Come join us at Washington Behavior Specialists (WBS)!

WBS strives to provide high-quality applied behavior analysis (ABA) treatment to help children with autism reach their full potential in the most FUN-ducational way! We are seeking fun, energetic and dedicated CBTs who enjoy working with children, and have an interest in special education, psychology, child development, or a related field.

Availability: Part-time or Full time available

Locations:

Auburn center & surrounding areas

Compensation: $19.00 - $26.00/hr. DOE and Certifications

Job Requirements:

Certified Behavior Technician License (preferred) or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
RBT Certification (preferred)
Maintain reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and insurance
At least 6 months of relevant experience preferred.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.

Additional Job Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Must pass background check
Energetic, fun attitude and desire to help children succeed!

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma and currently enrolled in college/university with 2 years of college coursework completed in psychology/related field, OR
Bachelor's degree in psychology/related field

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implement treatment plans developed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) addressing communication, behavior, adaptive, and social skill needs
Monitor the progress of clients and work closely with the BCBA to update treatment plans as necessary
Collect accurate data throughout the session
Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients and family.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Communicate effectively with supervising BCBA/BCaBA

Are you open to working at both our Auburn and Puyallup clinics? If not, what clinic would you prefer?
You may be asked to work in-home or in schools with a learner. Are you open to doing this?

Do you have an active CBT credential at this time?
Do you currently reside in the state of WA?
Do you have a reliable form of transportation?
Are you comfortable assisting learners on a 1:1 basis (age range ~2-16) with managing various disruptive behaviors such as but not limited to: aggression, self-injurious behavior, elopement?
Are you comfortable assisting learners on a 1:1 basis (age range ~2-16) with toileting procedures such as but not limited to: diaper changes, potty training, etc.?
We require at-least 1 professional reference check (someone who can speak to the learner's ability in a professional setting.) Are you able to provide this information?

Are you willing to consent to a background check and random drug testing?
