Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior CNC Programmer to join our aerospace manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience programming complex precision-machined components for the aerospace industry using multi-axis CNC equipment. This position requires a highly skilled programmer capable of developing efficient machining strategies while maintaining the highest standards of quality, repeatability, and productivity.

The successful candidate will work closely with Quality, Production, and Machine Operators to support new product introduction, continuous improvement, and on-time delivery of critical aerospace components.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining centers.
Program complex aerospace components using CAM software, Mastercam.
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T per ASME Y14.5, customer specifications, and CAD models.
Reduce cycle times while maintaining dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements.
Troubleshoot machining problems and implement corrective actions.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to CNC programmers and machinists.
Support tooling procurement and fixture design.
Assist Quality with root cause investigations and corrective actions.
Maintain revision control of CNC programs and manufacturing documentation.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 10 years CNC programming experience.
Minimum 5 years programming aerospace precision components.
Expert knowledge of:
3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machining
High-speed machining
Toolpath optimization
Strong understanding of machining:
Aluminum alloys
Titanium
Stainless steels
Inconel
High-temperature alloys
Ability to read complex aerospace engineering drawings.
Advanced GD&T knowledge.
Experience with CAD/CAM software.
Knowledge of cutting tool technology and machining dynamics.

Okuma
Makino
DMG Mori
Senior CNC Programmer

Education

Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and extensive aerospace CNC programming experience will be considered.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work on the production floor.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Standing, walking, and computer work throughout the day.
Ability to inspect machined components using precision measuring equipment.
