Full Job Description

Campground Operations Manager

Pay: Range starting from $40,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time, year-round
Primary Location: Quakertown, Pennsylvania with regular travel to Ashland, Illinois
Travel: Regular travel between campgrounds
Work Setting: In person, RV-based/mobile

About the Position

We own and operate two family campgrounds: Tohickon Family Campground in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, and Crazy Horse Campground in Ashland, Illinois. As we continue to improve and grow our campground business, we are looking for an experienced operations leader to oversee the performance of both properties.

This is a multi-property leadership position rather than a traditional single-property campground manager role. The Campground Operations Manager will lead campground managers, hosts, and support teams while overseeing financial performance, guest experience, operational systems, property readiness, and centralized campground administration.

The right person will be comfortable leading people and reviewing business performance while also being willing to walk the properties, interact with guests, troubleshoot operational issues, and step into campground operations when needed.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Overseeing the overall operational and financial performance of both campgrounds
Monitoring occupancy, revenue, expenses, and profitability
Leading, coaching, and holding campground managers, hosts, and support staff accountable
Establishing clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and operating standards
Maintaining a high level of guest service and ensuring guest concerns are properly resolved
Overseeing Campspot and other campground reservation systems
Ensuring site, cabin, rate, availability, hookup, and amenity information remains accurate
Overseeing reservations, guest communications, and reservation troubleshooting
Managing seasonal camper agreements, records, balances, statements, and renewals
Overseeing Clover, merchant accounts, chargebacks, payment follow-up, and related administrative requirements
Coordinating with Finance, Marketing, Maintenance, and other shared company resources
Monitoring campground maintenance needs and helping establish priorities
Creating and maintaining operating procedures, scorecards, and reporting systems
Identifying operational problems before they become emergencies
Supporting campground operations during staffing gaps, transitions, and emergencies
Helping evaluate, transition, and integrate additional campground properties as the business grows

Required Qualifications

Previous experience managing people and overseeing business or property operations
Demonstrated ability to establish expectations, delegate responsibilities, and hold team members accountable
Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills
Ability to review financial and operating results and make informed business decisions
Comfort using reservation platforms, point-of-sale systems, reporting tools, and other business technology
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage guest concerns professionally and make decisions in challenging situations
Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on seasonal demands, including some evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency situations
Throughout the year, you must be willing to travel between Pennsylvania and Illinois and spend time at whichever property most needs your leadership.
A valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
A personally owned RV suitable for full-time living

Preferred Qualifications

Campground or RV resort management experience
Hospitality, multi-site operations, property operations, or small-business management experience
Experience with Campspot or a comparable reservation-management platform
Experience with Clover or another point-of-sale and merchant-account system
Experience managing seasonal guest accounts or long-term campground agreements
Experience creating standard operating procedures, scorecards, or repeatable operating systems
Experience helping transition, open, or integrate new business locations

Location and Travel

Pennsylvania will serve as the primary home base for this position, but travel between the Pennsylvania and Illinois properties will also be required throughout the year. The amount and timing of travel will depend on the operational needs of each campground.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary range of $40,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
Company-provided full-hookup RV site and utilities while stationed at one of our campgrounds
Company-paid fuel for required travel between company locations
Full-time, year-round employment
Opportunity to help build the systems and leadership structure for a growing campground business

The employee is responsible for providing their own RV and personal vehicle.
