Job Title: Restaurant and Lounge Manager

Location: Newport, Oregon

Employment Type: Full-Time - Exempt

About Us: The Allred is a new 102-room relaxed upscale hotel. You will be a part of a dining and beverage experience that sets a new standard in the region. The Allred’s bites and bar offers guests a quintessential Oregon Coast experience with a curated menu of Pacific Northwest fare, craft cocktails, espresso, and a lively social scene - along with magnificent ocean views. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant and Lounge Manager to join our team and help elevate our guests’ and employees’ experience to new heights.

Job Description: As the Restaurant and Lounge Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our restaurant and lounge front-of-house. You will ensure an exceptional guest experience and maintain the highest standards of service and quality, while leading and inspiring a team of 20 dedicated team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of the dining, coffee bar and lounge, to ensure smooth and efficient service. Coordinate with the kitchen staff, front-of-house team, and bar staff to maintain seamless operations.
Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of servers, bartenders, baristas, and support staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment while providing ongoing training and development opportunities.
Guest Experience: Ensure an exceptional dining experience for all guests by maintaining high standards of service, addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly, and implementing feedback for continuous improvement.
Quality Control: Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service standards. Work closely with the culinary team to maintain consistency and excellence in menu offerings.
Financial Management: Manage budgets and control costs. Oversee front of house inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships. Prepare and analyze financial reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the General Manager and marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies, special events, and seasonal campaigns to attract and retain customers.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Implement and enforce policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment for both guests and staff.
Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and the community to enhance the restaurant's reputation and drive business growth.

Qualifications:

3+ years proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Lounge Manager, or similar role in a relaxed upscale dining establishment
Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions
Strong financial skills in budgeting, expense management and financial report preparation and analysis
Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
